Easy bacon recipes that simply make life tasteful!
We all must admit that life without some bacon is simply not imaginable. A little touch of bacon here and there simply makes an ordinary meal extraordinary. Any dish with bacon would be delicious. It does not matter whether it is a simple dish or complicated ones like Superior Farms bacon wrapped lamb chops. Here are some simple recipes that prove bacon can make any meal better.
1.Bacon, Potato and Watercress Salad.
For all who love their salad, this recipe is a must-have. It is simply a substantial salad which is teamed with new potatoes and a touch of crisp bacon strips. You can then top this up with a creamy mayonnaise-free garnish. This salad takes only 30 minutes to prepare. The ingredients needed include:
-11/2 pounds of new potatoes which you can halve.
-4 bacon slices
– cup of plain yogurt
-1 table spoon of fresh lemon juice
-Kosher salt and some black pepper.
-1 bunch of watercress
-2 table spoons of chopped chives.
How to make.
1.Make sure to steam the potatoes until tender. It takes approximately 12-14 minutes. Let them cool for at least 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, fry the bacon over medium heat in a skillet until it is crisp. Let it cool and break it into pieces.
2.Mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper in a bowl.
3.Add the potatoes, bacon, watercress and chives. Toss it to mix up. Ready to serve .
2.Potato and Bacon Pizzas.
This is another bacon and potato combo that is simply amazing. You can as well mix it with Havarti cheese to make it even more palatable. This recipe only takes 35 minutes to prepare.
-1 pound of dough for pizza at room temperature.
-8 ounces of Havarti grated cheese.
– pound red potatoes thinly sliced.
-4 scallions sliced as well
-4 strips uncooked bacon, cut into inch pieces.
-Black pepper and some salt
How to prepare.
1.Preheat the oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit.Make the dough into 4 rounds and sprinkle the cornmeal onto the baking sheets.
3.Bake the crust until it is golden brown 18-20 minutes. Ready to serve at least 4.
3.Spaghetti with bacon meatballs.
I personally think that this is the simplest of all recipes here. Simply add bacon that is finely chopped to ground beef. It is ready in no time and very convenient for a weeknight dinner as it takes only 25 minutes to prepare.
-1 small onion coarsely chopped
-3 slices of bacon coarsely chopped
-2 cloves of garlic peeled
-¼ cup of fresh parsley leaves
-1 pound of ground beef chuck
– cup grated Parmesan
-3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
-1 large egg
-Black pepper and salt
-12 ounces of spaghetti 3 cups of marinara source.
How to make.
1.Heat the broiler/ Boil the pasta in a large pot. Combine the onion, bacon, garlic and parsley in a food processor until it is finely chopped for about 10-15 minutes.
2.Transfer the contents to a medium bowl and add the beef, Parmesan and bread crumbs. Include the egg, teaspoon of salt and pepper to taste. Mix it gently.
3.Make the beef into meatballs. They will be about 16 meatballs.
Cook the pasta till soft.
4.Heat the marinara sauce over medium heat and add the meatballs while you toss gently to coat. Ready to serve with pasta sprinkled with shaved parmesan.
